Our History

Harvest Christian Academy exists to glorify God by helping students develop a heart for God while providing a quality education in a Christian environment.

We began as a ministry outreach of Harvest Baptist Church in 1975.  The school began as a small independent study program with less than 30 students and has grown over the years to include 40 classrooms with over 1,000 students from K3-12th grade. Traditional classrooms have been introduced over the years, and we now typically have 3 sections of each grade for K5-12th.

For over 40 years, Harvest Christian Academy has provided an outstanding education that extends beyond the classroom. We provide excellent curriculum in a positive learning environment, and are pleased to offer students opportunities to pursue interests in music, art, drama, sports, electives, enrichment programs, honors clubs, and other student-led clubs. This combination fosters a love for learning and gives students the ability to fine-tune their talents.

How does Harvest Christian Academy shape extraordinary futures?

At Harvest Christian Academy, we recognize with humility our role as a partner with you in raising the next generation of well-rounded, balanced, thoughtful and intentional leaders.  Everything we do is designed to challenge, encourage, and equip young people to reach their full potential. In every aspect of life, we encourage respect, hard work, and excellence.  HCA emphasizes the importance of building Christian character. Our students learn that achievements in the classroom must extend into their lives outside the classroom, as their character is tested and their principles are tried.  Harvest challenges every student to become an outstanding member of their community, as we partner with parents, villages, and local businesses in the education process. We teach that lasting success will be measured by how we use our talents, opportunities, and time. HCA students are taught, ”Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” Colossians 3:23.

As a parent, your child’s education is a high priority. As the steward of God’s greatest gift to you, you want your child to excel spiritually, socially, physically and academically. At HCA, you will find dedicated teachers who view teaching not as a vocation, but as a calling. Mentoring students is valued as a joy and a privilege. Our teachers love their students and desire to see each one grow in knowledge and virtue, thereby laying a foundation for lifelong success.

We focus on providing the highest quality academics to lay a strong foundation for each student in preparation for college or a successful career. Harvest also strives to instill godly character in each of our students, which will guide them long after they leave our classrooms. Our school is the place where your child can realize his or her fullest God-given potential in every area of life by providing challenging academics, character-building within a Christian environment and individualized life mentoring.
