Hafa Adai Harvest Family,
We want to celebrate you! You have successfully navigated the first three weeks of online learning. You have flexibly adjusted your schedules and work flow to support your students’ education. You have learned a new education platform and have patiently adapted to make the best of a tough situation. We also want to praise our teachers. They have done a phenomenal job of learning new skills, and have become experts in providing academic content, while still building relationships and being available to parents and students.
It is easy to be discouraged about the ongoing medical and economic troubles that plague our island. We acknowledge the reality of the unparalleled hardships that many of you are facing. In the midst of uncertainty, we want to be a voice for hope. We affirm the faithfulness of our God, who has sustained us through war, sickness, typhoons, and many maladies that have tested the resilience of our island. We ask you to pray with us, that the number of COVID-19 cases would decline, for protection for our medical workers, for wisdom for our leaders as they make policy decisions, and that we would have the opportunity to once again enjoy the benefits of face to face education.
We are here for you. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can pray for you, or help you in the education of your children.
Si Yu'os Ma'åse',
Psalm 33:22 “May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.”
